Shady Maple
This is going to be a semi-solo since we weren't anticipating doing a review, so Bethany didn't take any notes or any pictures. This was also created months after the fact, so details/pictures are not plentiful.
Setting the Scene
If you haven't been here before, Shady Maple is an experience. It is the largest buffet in the US (is that true?). They are well organized and they move people through very efficiently. We've been here before, but never for breakfast before.

It was bangin'. I loved the variety and being able to get a bunch of different things. There were a lot of Pennsylvania Dutch specialties which I appreciate and you can't get everywhere.
For instance, I got one whole plate of some random sides to test out what was worth my time and stomach space. I had some exotic fruit juice (think mango pineapple) and a birch beer. I also had a birch beer float at the end. I couldn't figure out the soft serve machine and a kind patron helped me out.
I had some shoe fly pie which I love. I tried corn mush for the first time which I was also very pleasantly surprised with and ended up eating the rest of Bethany's. Bacon was standard. I remember the breakfast home fries were bland and almost underdone. The scapple wasn't bad, I just like it a bit more crisped up which I understand is hard/impossible to do at a buffet like this. Corned beef hash was exceptional enough to remember that I liked it.
They had an eggs benedict specific station where you could also request other types of benedict (with spinach and any other subs as you want) as well as omelets.
They toasted the English muffin on the flat top and had some great toast on it. The Canadian bacon was very thin which I appreciate. The egg was actually just sunny side up which made the yolk explode all over the place. The sauce was very flavorful and it almost looks broken, but it was great.

Unfortunately, I did not get any form of a breakfast wrap and instead tried a wide concoction of items. The one thing I remember liking was the French toast casserole.
